welcome to my blog. You’ll find this site unlike most blog sites. As a professional artist who has taught painting and drawing for over 40 years, I have decided that it’s time to share with the world this wealth of experience. You’ll have the opportunity to read my observations on art, artists and the creative process. Perhaps i can demystify the process of abstract painting a bit, and provide unique insights. Anyway, this is one of my goals.

Welcome to the blog world, Mr Mac. I have put up some of my new work online, I haven’t ‘felt’ like i have painted the new work well. Apart from the effort, and the size of these pieces, I am unable to concentrate. I guess I would call them my ’soul-less’ work. You have been an artist longer than I have, is it normal to go into phases of ‘blanks’?
I know there are ideas which come flooding at times, for paintings, but when facing a bright new raw canvas, they disappear. What surfaces then, is this rage which is a different emotion to handle on canvas.!!
I am sorry this email is getting to sound very much like a blog post, wasn’t meant to. Just that you are the only artist I have actually come to converse with as freely. Thanks for listening.:) Sushma
